Network Marketing??? Nah!

Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear about Network Marketing? What is your reaction to the idea of Network Marketing?

I asked a few friends these questions and they gave me all sorts of answers. One said “Ah! Do you want to recruit me now?” Another said “I just feel it’s not my thing” Yet another said “I’ve tried it so many times and failed, I can’t do it any longer. Nah!” I also got “Babe I can’t run around after people o, it’s really stressful” And “My dear, people will frustrate you in this!”

Here’s my own story…

Before now, I was so scared of and totally off Network Marketing that the sound or smell or thought of it sends me running like a scaredy cat with so many excuses ranging from “I’m not cut out for this thing” to “Network Marketing is not my thing” to “I’m not a buy and sell kind of person” to “I can’t run around after people for networking” the excuses were going on and on and on. I know we all either have used these excuses and more or know people who have used them. This was when I had not gone through the personal development which brought me to the full understanding that there is nothing I set my mind to do that I can’t.

Now I know that I can do all things. I can do whatever I set my mind to do. I am unstoppable. The human mind is awesome and limitless and can achieve anything it wants to. Once we decide and believe it we will surely do that. If you say “I can’t” then surely you can’t but if you tell yourself “I can” I promise you very surely you can and will.

My friend/colleague invited me to join a webinar and after some technical hitches [on my side], I joined halfway to the end but by the time the webinar was over I told myself “I can do this!” I also asked myself “If this lady who’s conducting the webinar, who I didn’t even know could achieve all of these and be earning a six figure income in one and half years, why can’t I” and that was it. I was in. A few days later I went and took almost all the monies in my Dom Account and registered and I started.

I am now a Network Marketing professional. I am now in business.

My team members bombarded me with welcome messages, my upline and hers with emails and documents to read and become educated on how to go about this business and every day there are messages of encouragement and tips from my team members to let us know we can do it and to know we are able and how not to stay down or defeated.

So what has my experience been so far? Hmmm… Awesome… Let’s save that for my next blog!
